Hi there. Been awhile. Been working on a lot of rigging tutorials that I’ve missed out on digital sculpting. The following are works in progress shots to help me see how the mesh develops. Skinny mens jeans with polypaint and texturing done all in Zbrush from a base mesh sculpt done in Modo 701.
First pass on detailing. Working out the folds architecture.
Second pass detailing, low res polypainting and texturing.
Third pass detailing: Refining textures and adding details like buttons and stitches. Defining the folds and cavity areas better.
Fourth pass detailing, adding tinier details to help flesh out the normal map bakes. These shots are just export grabs. No BPR or Modo Renders, using zbro’s matcap skin.
Calling this one done for sculpting and initial texturing. Moving on to Low Poly Retopo and then baking maps. After which, we get to skin and rig it. Happy 2014. Here’s to more, sculpting and hopefully more clothing work for this year.
